Special Needs Pediatric Dentist in Manhattan, NYC

For children with autism, Down syndrome, or sensory challenges, our board-certified specialists provide restraint-free dentistry. Extended appointments, desensitization, and judgment-free care navigate complex medical histories and communication barriers without rushing.

What is Special Needs Pediatric Dentistry?

Special needs pediatric dentistry provides dental care for children who may need extra support during visits, including those with autism, sensory sensitivities, developmental delays, medical conditions, anxiety, or physical disabilities. Each child may benefit from an approach that considers their individual needs and comfort level throughout.

At Midtown Pediatric Dentistry, we understand that every child is different. Some may need more time, a quieter approach, shorter visits, or step-by-step explanations before treatment. We work with parents and caregivers to understand each child’s needs and create a personalized care plan together.
